The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
