The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, "You are no more than a bewitched and insane man 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
