Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
Almighty God's Truth.
