Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
