And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
