And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
