And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
