And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
