Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
