And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
