This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
