And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
