The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin. These are verses from the Quran, a book that makes things clear; 1 A guidance and good tidings for believers 2 Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure. 3 As for those who will not believe in the life to come - behold, goodly have We made their own doings appear unto them, and so they stumble blindly to and fro 4 those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are receiving the Quran from the One, All-Wise, All-Knowing. 6 (Recount to them) when Moses said to his family: "I perceive something like fire: soon will I bring to you some information from there, or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves." 7 And when he came near it he was called: 'Blessed be who is (Moses) in the fire and (the angels) who are around it! Exaltations to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 8 Moses, I am God, the Majestic and All-wise. 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 and neither need anyone who has done wrong and then has replaced the wrong with good: for, verily, I am much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 11 Now put your hand inside your cloak next to your bosom and it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This will be one of the nine signs for Pharaoh and his people: for truly they are a rebellious people." 12 But when Our light-giving messages came unto them, they said, "This is clearly [but] spellbinding deception!" 13 They rejected the evidence because of their arrogance and injustice, although their souls knew it to be true. Think how terrible the end of the sinful ones was! 14
