The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: 'It may be that part of what you seek to hasten on is already riding behind you' 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 And verily thine Lord knoweth whatsoever their breasts conceal and whatsoever they make known. 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
