And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say: 'It may be that riding behind you already is some part of that you seek to hasten on. 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 And not a thing is there hidden in heaven and earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 Wherefore put thy trust in Allah; verily thou art on manifest truth. 79 Thou shalt not make the dead to hear, neither shalt thou make the deaf to hear the call when they turn about, retreating. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
