And so, they who are bent on denying the truth are saying: "What! After we have become dust - we and our forefathers - shall we [all,] forsooth, be brought forth [from the dead]? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Surely this Qur'an explains to the Children of Israel most of the matters concerning which they have disagreements 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 So put your trust in Allah for you are on the manifest truth. 79 Lo! thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they have turned to flee; 80 And you will not guide the blind out of their error; and none listen to you except those who accept faith in Our signs, and they are Muslims. 81 ۞ When the Word falls on them, We shall bring forth for them out of the earth a beast that shall speak unto them: 'Mankind had no faith in Our signs.' 82
