And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 "Indeed we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 It is a guidance and grace for those who believe. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 Wherefore put thy trust in Allah; verily thou art on manifest truth. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our revelations and surrender themselves to Us. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
