Is he to whom We have promised a goodly promise which he shall meet with like him whom We have provided with the provisions of this world's life, then on the day of resurrection he shall be of those who are brought up? 61 Upon the day when He shall call to them, and He shall say, 'Where now are My associates whom you were asserting?' 62 Those against whom the Word will be realised will say: "Our Lord, these are the ones whom we led astray just as we ourselves strayed. We absolve ourselves before You of all blame. It was not us that they worshipped." 63 And it shall be said: Call upon your associate-gods. And they shall call upon them, and they shall not answer them, and they shall behold the torment. Would that they had received the guidance! 64 And [mention] the Day He will call them and say, "What did you answer the messengers?" 65 And on that Day the news will be blinded for them, and they will not ask each other. 66 But any that (in this life) had repented, believed, and worked righteousness, will have hopes to be among those who achieve salvation. 67 And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him. 68 And thy Lord knows all that their hearts conceal and all that they reveal. 69 And He is Allah: There is no god but He. To Him be praise, at the first and at the last: for Him is the Command, and to Him shall ye (all) be brought back. 70 Ask them, "Tell me, if God were to extend perpetual night over you till the Day of Judgement, is there any deity other than God that could bring you light? Will you not listen?" 71 Say thou: bethink ye, if Allah made day continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, what god is there beside Allah, who would bring you night wherein ye have repose? Behold ye not? 72 Of His mercy He has appointed for you night and day, for you to repose in and seek after His bounty, that haply you will be thankful.' 73 The Day that He will call on them, He will say: "Where are my 'partners'? whom ye imagined (to be such)?" 74 And We shall proclaim taking out a witness from each group, “Bring your proof” – so they will realise that the Truth (Right) is for Allah, and they will lose all that they had fabricated. 75
