Indeed, We sent Noah to his nation, and he lived amongst them for a thousand years, less fifty (but they belied him), then the Flood seized them while they were harmdoers. 14 But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds. 15 Abraham told his people, "Worship God and have fear of Him. It is better for you if only you knew it. 16 Ye serve instead of Allah only idols, and ye only invent a lie. Lo! those whom ye serve instead of Allah own no provision for you. So seek your provision from Allah, and serve Him, and give thanks unto Him, (for) unto Him ye will be brought back. 17 "And if ye reject (the Message), so did generations before you: and the duty of the messenger is only to preach publicly (and clearly)." 18 Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy. 19 Say: 'Travel in the land and see how He started the Creation. Then Allah will originate the Everlasting Life. Allah has power over all things. 20 He chastises whom He will and forgives whom He will. To Him all of you will be sent back. 21 You are not able to frustrate Him either in the earth or in heaven; and you have not, apart from God, either protector or helper. 22
