Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Allah sufficeth for witness between me and you. He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who believe in vanity and disbelieve in Allah, they it is who are the losers. 52 They demand you to bring upon them torment immediately. Had not the time been fixed, the torment would certainly have approached them. It would have come to them suddenly and they would not have even realized how it came. 53 They demand of thee to hasten the chastisement! Lo, Gehenna encompasses the unbelievers. 54 On the day when the chastisement shall cover them from above them, and from beneath their feet; and He shall say: Taste what you did. 55 O My slaves who believe! Certainly, spacious is My earth. Therefore worship Me (Alone)." 56 Every soul has to know the taste of death. You will then be sent back to Us. 57 We shall house those who believed and acted righteously in the lofty mansions of Paradise beneath which rivers flow. There they shall remain for ever. How excellent a reward it is for those who acted (in obedience to Allah), 58 Who persevere, and put their trust in their Lord! 59 There are many living creatures which do not carry their sustenance, but God provides them and you with sustenance. He is All-hearing and All-knowing. 60 If indeed thou ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, "Allah". How are they then deluded away (from the truth)? 61 Allah makes abundant the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants, and straitens them for whom (He pleases) surely Allah is Cognizant of all things. 62 And thus it is: if thou ask them, "Who is it that sends down water from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless?" - they will surely answer, "God." Say thou: "[Since this is so,] all praise is due to God [alone]!" But most of them will not use their reason: 63
