Allah begins creation; then He will repeat it; then to Him you will be returned. 11 On the day when the Hour of Doom comes, the criminals will despair. 12 And they shall not have any intercessors from among their gods they have joined with Allah, and they shall be deniers of their associate-gods. 13 On that Day when the Hour will come to pass, people will be split into groups. 14 those who believe and did good deeds shall be well pleased in a garden, 15 but as for those who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to Our messages - and (thus) to the announcement of a life to come - they will be given over to suffering. 16 So (give) glory to Allah, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning; 17 And His is all the praises and thanks in the heavens and the earth, and (glorify Him) in the afternoon (i.e. offer 'Asr prayer) and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline (i.e. offer Zuhr prayer). (Ibn 'Abbas said: "These are the five compulsory congregational prayers mentioned in the Quran)." 18 He brings the living from the dead, the dead from the living, and quickens the earth after it had died. So will you be brought forth (from the dead). 19

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
