Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are verses of the wise Book. 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 For, whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a one, he turns away in his arrogance as though he had not heard them - as though there were deafness in his ears. Give him, then, the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 But for those who believe and do good works are Gardens of Bliss, 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
