Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 a guide and a mercy for those who do good, 3 Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 They are on guidance from their Lord, and will prosper. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
