In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 a guidance and a mercy to those who do good, 3 who are constant in prayer and dispense charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 They are on guidance from their Lord, and will prosper. 5 But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Surely for those who believe and do the right are pleasure gardens. 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars you can see, and He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and He scattered abroad in it all manner of crawling thing. And We sent down out of heaven water, and caused to grow in it of every generous kind. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
