Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 As guidance and mercy for the doers of good 3 who establish the prayer, pay the obligatory charity, and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 These are on a guidance from their Lord, and these are they who are successful: 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our revelations are recited unto him he turneth away in pride as if he heard them not, as if there were a deafness in his ears. So give him tidings of a painful doom. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 wherein they will abide forever. That is God's true promise; He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. 10 This is the Creation of Allah. Now show me that which those (ye worship) beside Him have created. Nay, but the wrong-doers are in error manifest! 11
