Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Verily, those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them are Gardens of delight (Paradise). 8 to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars you can see, and He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and He scattered abroad in it all manner of crawling thing. And We sent down out of heaven water, and caused to grow in it of every generous kind. 10 Allah has created this – therefore show me what has been created by those other than Him; in fact the unjust are in open error. 11
