Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif Lam Mim. 1 Those are the signs of the Wise Book 2 And a guidance and grace for those who do good, 3 Who are constant in devotion, pay the zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens of Delight. 8 To abide therein. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 He [it is who] has created the skies without any supports that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We send down water from the skies, and thus We cause every noble kind [of life] to grow on earth. 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
