In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
A. L. M. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 a guidance and a mercy to those who do good, 3 who establish Prayer and pay Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely for those who believe and do the right are pleasure gardens. 8 to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
