Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is, without doubt, from the Lord Of The Creation. 2 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright. 3 Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He mounted the throne (of authority); you have not besides Him any guardian or any intercessor, will you not then mind? 4 He sends the regulation of the affair from the heavens to the earth, then on the day which is equal to one thousand years of yours, it will ascend to Him. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 who makes most excellent everything that He creates. Thus, He begins the creation of man out of clay; 7 Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 They say, 'What, when we have gone astray in the earth, shall we indeed be in a new creation?' Nay, but they disbelieve in the encounter with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
