We gave the Book to Moses - do not have any doubt about the Day of Judgment - and made it a guide for the children of Israel. 23 and [as] We raised among them leaders who, so long as they bore themselves with patience and had sure faith in Our messages, guided [their people] in accordance with Our behest [so, too, shall it be with the divine writ revealed unto thee, O Muhammad.] 24 Indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matters in which they used to differ. 25 Did they not find guidance in the many generations We had destroyed before them, over whose dwellings they (now) walk? There were indeed signs in this. Will they even then not listen? 26 Have they not seen that We drive the water to the barren land and produce thereby crops of which their cattle and they themselves eat? Will they not then see? 27 They say: “If you are truthful, (tell us) when will the Judgement come?” 28 Proclaim, “On the Day of Decision*, the disbelievers will not benefit from their accepting faith, nor will they get respite.” (* Of death or of resurrection) 29 So turn away from them, and wait: they too are waiting. 30
