O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 59 ۞ THUS IT IS: if the hypocrites, and they in whose hearts is disease, and they who, by spreading false rumours, would cause disturbances in the City [of the Prophet] desist not [from their hostile doings]; We shall indeed give thee mastery over them, [O Muhammad] - and then they will not remain thy neighbours in this [city] for more than a little while: 60 Accursed, they would be seized wherever found, and slain mercilessly. 61 That hath been the dispensation of Allah with those who have passed away afore; and thou shalt not find in the dispensation of Allah any change. 62 People ask thee ccncerning the Hour. Say thou: the knowledge thereof is only with Allah: and what knowest thou! belike the Hour is nigh. 63 Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze. 64 therein they shall abide for ever. They shall find none to protect or help them. 65 On that Day when their faces are turned about in the Fire, they shall say: 'Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger' 66 And they would say: "Our Lord! We obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us as to the (right) Path. 67 Our Lord, mete out to them a double chastisement and lay upon them a mighty curse.” 68

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
