O Prophet! say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is a sickness, and the scandal mongers in Madinah do not desist from their vile acts, We shall urge you to take action against them, and then they will hardly be able to stay in the city with you. 60 bereft of God's grace, they shall be seized wherever they may be found, and slain one and all. 61 That was the way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old; thou wilt not find for the way of Allah aught of power to change. 62 People ask you about the Hour (of the great change). Say: "Only God has knowledge of it. Who knows? The Hour may be close at hand." 63 Verily, God has rejected the deniers of the truth, and has readied for them a blazing fire, 64 To dwell therein for ever: no protector will they find, nor helper. 65 On the day when their faces will be overturned being roasted inside the fire, they will say, “Alas – if only we had obeyed Allah and obeyed His Noble Messenger!” 66 They shall say, "Our Lord, we paid heed to our leaders and our elders, but they led us away from the right path. 67 Our Lord, give them chastisement twofold, and curse them with a mighty curse!' 68
