Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 On the Straight Path. 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Assuredly the word hath been justified against most of them, wherefore they shall not believe. 7 We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, 8 And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that they do not see. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 We shall surely raise the dead to life and We record what they did and the traces of their deeds that they have left behind. We have encompassed that in a Clear Book. 12
