Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
YA SIN. 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 Truly, you (O Muhammad SAW) are one of the Messengers, 3 on a Straight Way, 4 (This is) a Revelation sent down by the AllMighty, the Most Merciful, 5 That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The word has been proved true against the greater part of them: they will not believe. 7 Behold, around their necks We have put shackles, reaching up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up; 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them in veils so that they cannot see: 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 You can only warn him who listens to the warning and fears Ar-Rahman secretly. So give him good news of forgiveness and a generous reward. 11 We will surely bring the dead to life and We record what they send ahead and the signs they will leave behind; and We have accounted all things in a clear Book. 12

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
