If We extend anyone's life, We reverse his development. Can they not use their reason? 68 We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear: 69 to the end that it may warn everyone who is alive [of heart,] and that the word [of God] may bear witness against all who deny the truth. 70 Are they, then, not aware that it is for them that We have created, among all the things which Our hands have wrought, the domestic animals of which they are [now] masters? 71 And have subjected the animals for them, so they ride some animals and eat some? 72 From cattle they get milk and other benefits. Will they not then give thanks? 73 And they have taken gods besides Allah that they may be helped. 74 They have not the power to help them: but they will be brought up (before Our Judgment-seat) as a troop (to be condemned). 75 So let not their speech grieve thee. Verily We! We know whatsoever they keep secret and whatsoever they make known. 76 And did not man see that We have created him from a drop of semen? Yet he is an open quarreller! 77 And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?" 78 Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing." 79 He has created fire for you out of the green tree from which you can kindle other fires. 80 Is He who created the heavens and the earth unable to create their like? Yes, indeed, He is the Creator, the Knower. 81 Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" and it is! 82 So glory be to Him, in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and unto whom you shall be returned. 83
