The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
