The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
