The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
