The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
