The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
