The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
