The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
