The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
