1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 Are we then not to die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
