۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
