3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
