3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
