Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail – peace be upon them – is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
