3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
