And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
